When multiple types of loads need to be handled by the same truck, flexibility becomes essential for an efficient workflow. Together with Wihuri/Wilog, Hagaberg delivered a complete system solution to an end user within Steel Wholesale to enable fast and safe switching between pallet handling and the handling of coil and rolled materials.
Hagaberg supplied a system combining a fork positioner, a coil boom, and the OQT automatic quick coupler. The OQT solution allows both hydraulic and mechanical attachments to be changed directly from the operator’s seat – eliminating manual handling and unnecessary downtime. The system was configured for a Linde E-80 and tailored to maximize the truck’s capacity while meeting the end customer’s requirements for compatibility and workflow efficiency.

For pallet handling, a fork positioner from Hagaberg’s E-series, model E4-60, was supplied, equipped with sideshift and hydraulic KOOI® ReachForks. The telescopic forks enable double-pallet handling and provide additional flexibility in day-to-day operations.
For handling rolled materials, a customized coil boom was developed through the Hagaberg/Cebriá partnership. The project’s greatest technical challenge was achieving extremely tight tolerances under load. The result was a ram pole with less than 5 mm deflection under load and a lifting capacity of 5,190 kg.
The result is a flexible and efficient system solution that allows the operator to switch quickly between different handling tasks – with high safety and minimal downtime.
