Optimized workflow
Our customer Wihuri, through its material handling division Wilog, has delivered a truck solution to an end customer operating in steel wholesale. The end user needed to switch between different types of handling – pallet handling as well as handling of goods on reels, such as sheet metal.
To ensure maximum flexibility and efficiency in the workflow, Hagaberg delivered a complete system solution featuring an OQT automatic quick coupler, along with a fork positioner and a coil boom optimized for the customer’s specific applications.

The right configuration in the right combination
Both hydraulic and mechanical attachments can be changed directly from inside the truck using OQT, here as part of a complete system solution for a Linde E-80 truck.
The challenge in this project was to configure the optimal combination of quick coupler and attachments to match the truck’s capacity and the end user’s handling requirements within a fully compatible system.
All Hagaberg fork adaptations and additional attachment functions are available with OQT integration. The OQT quick coupler can be equipped either with a third hydraulic function for direct connection or with an electrical connection for solenoid valve control.
Double pallet handling
For pallet handling, a Hagaberg E-series fork positioner (model E4-60, pin-type) was supplied. The positioner has side shifting and a lifting capacity of 5800 kg.
Equipped with hydraulic KOOI® ReachForks, it further enhances the flexibility of the system. These durable telescopic forks allow the attachment to perform double pallet handling.
Precise solution for reel handling
The coil boom is the result of the Hagaberg/Cebriá partnership. The main technical challenge in this project was related to the end user’s strict requirements regarding deflection under load.
Through careful calculations and adaptions, a solution was developed with less than 5 mm deflection while maintaining a capacity of 5190 kg.
The delivered system provides the end user with flexible, safe, and efficient material handling, allowing the operator to quickly switch between pallet handling with hydraulic telescopic forks and reel handling – without downtime or manual attachment changes.
